Bike MS - Official Michigan Chapter

The National MS Society is at the forefront of the MS movement and we can’t slow down. People with MS and their families continue to turn to the Michigan Chapter – perhaps more so now than ever before – and we must do everything we can to prepare to help each one of them address the challenges that they face.

We know many people living in Michigan have experienced the effects of the economic slowdown and we have been anticipating for this to have some effect on the special events for the Chapter. That being said the registration numbers for the Bike MS Rides in Michigan are currently behind pace of past several years. The success of these rides is critical to the success of the Chapter and we need your help to spread the word, raise awareness and invite people to join you to ride.

It’s not often that you may be in a position to make a BIG difference by putting forth just a little effort. You have such an opportunity right now…

For EACH of the following steps that you take though the end of May you will receive $25 in bonus bucks toward your 2009 prize incentives*
• Change your profile picture to be the Bike MS Ride logo that is available through our digital downloads at: http://nationalmssociety.org/get-involved/events/bike-ms/digital-downloads-bike-ms/index.aspx
• Post the Bike MS Ride website link in your status line or in the information box located below your profile picture – www.bikemsmi.org
• Post a link to your personal web in your status line asking friends to make a donation to your ride pledges or join you in the ride.
• Send an invitation to your Facebook friends to become a fan of the Bike MS Ride, Official Michigan Chapter page by using the “share” feature located on bottom left side of the page.
• Add the Bike MS Ride, Official Michigan Chapter Facebook page to your links box on your profile page.
• Send a Bike MS Ride piece of flair to your Facebook friends and ask them to post it on their profile.

It’s that easy – do any one of the above actions, or better yet all of them and you could earn up to $150 in bonus bucks toward your prize incentive total for 2009! Just send us an e-mail to tammy.willis@mig.nmss.org to let us know how you chose to help keep the Michigan Chapter moving forward.
