Hey crew,

We're sad to see October go. We love autumn, the foliage and Halloween (especially Halloween). But at least Turkey Day is just around the corner!

We made some new friends at our show at All Asia hosted by Karmic. A great crowd came out in force, braving the cold, wind, rain and snow. You are all troopers and we appreciate the support!

We also played at a private Halloween party hosted by Justin's cousin and his roommates. Lots of fun costumes -- our favorites were Wall-E & EVE, Walter from Big Lebowski and Tim the Enchanter -- and Rock Band everywhere. We had the pleasure of being the live entertainment and the crowd was loud, like SUPER loud. We don't think we've ever heard "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" sang so loud back at us. It was fantastic.

Hey Crew!

"Talk Like a Pirate Day" is just around the corner and we just so happen to have a show the same day. This calls for a special "Talk Like a Pirate Day" set for all our pirate and viking-loving friends!

To commemorate this fine piratical holiday, we'll be playing a set chock-full of the rowdiest sea chanties and drinking tunes this side of the Atlantic at Porters Bar & Grill on Saturday, Sept. 19th at 10pm. We'll also be handing out free fridge magnets and CDs to any patron wearing something piratical (or Viking related, as Vikings are cousins to pirates).

Now, we're not talking coming to the show dressed as Jack Sparrow or in full pirate/viking attire (though, feel free if you wish!). Something simple as a skull n' crossbones t-shirt or piratical earrings will suffice.

Tickets to the show are $7 or you can get in via door ($10/admission). We recommend ordering tickets through us to save a few bucks (spend it on beer!) and by doing so, we'll be sure to reserve you a special "Talk Like a Pirate Day" magnet. The show at Porter’s Bar & Grill (173 Portland St. Boston, MA) takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10pm and is part of an All Acoustic Night booked by Opsercian Company. Also on the bill: Dave Crespo & Carey Wells, Davina Yannetty, Kimo Bomba and Kwasi Mensah. Door admission is $10 (be sure to say you’re there to see Ice Cream Social). This is a 21+ only event.

Hey crew,

Feels like autumn already in Boston. And, to think, it was 90+ for almost two weeks about a week or so ago. C'est la vie! At least this means football & hockey is right around the corner and, to Justin's great excitement, pumpkin ale!

August was short on shows but not on fun or work. After playing at a private party in Maine at the beginning of the month, we spent most of the month writing and working on some new songs (some of which we hope we'll be debuting soon).

We also had our second show at All Asia in August which went over great. We had an awesome crowd that showed up for the event -- some with and in viking garb, no less! -- and we made plenty of new friends throughout the day. It's always enjoyable to meet other people who enjoy this type of music and we hope to see them all again soon!

New music... Thanks to the wonderful Pam Craven we had our July TT the Bear's show recorded live. She did a great job mixing everything and we have a few of the live tracks available for streaming on our Myspace page. Let us know what you think.
