Spawned from the last few drops of beer at the bottom of the cask, Ice Cream Social is the perfect mix of traditional Irish, comedy, sea shanties and acoustic rock. In short — pub music.

Making up Ice Cream Social is Justin Aucoin (vocals, guitar) and John Borecki (vocals, octave mandolin, bodhrán), a dynamic musical duo who first met and collaborated at the 2008 Salem Pirate Faire. They quickly realized they shared a love for Celtic music, pirates and beer, and soon began entertaining audiences with their high energy and charismatic performances.

Ice Cream Social’s set lists include both classic and lesser-known traditional Irish tunes such as “The Night Pat Murphy Died” and “Johnny Jump Up”, rollicking sea chanties like “Leaving of Liverpool” and “Cape Cod Girls”, and original comedy and acoustic rock songs about mischievous leprechauns, hordes of raging Vikings and pirates bound for Boston Harbor.

Ice Cream Social has entertained crowds at venues/events in the Boston and Lowell areas, including TT the Bear’s Place, All Asia, the Eggroll Cafe and the Salem/New England Pirate Faire.
