The Oxnard Salsa Festival will kick-off its 16th anniversary of everything salsa with the Oxnard Salsa Dash, a 5K & 10K Run/Walk through downtown Oxnard on one month early on Saturday, July 11. The Dash also includes a Kids’ Fun Run.
This year will feature a competition between the City of Oxnard's Fire and Police Departments, who have agreed to a friendly competition to encourage the most participation on behalf of each department AND to encourage participants to achieve the best times in the actual race.

Entry fee includes a race t-shirt and gift bag. Pre-Registration is $25 (5K) and $30 (10K); Registration the day of the race (on-site) is $5 more. The Kids Dash is $15 (no shirt included). Registration forms available at www.oxnardsalsafestival.com
The Salsa Dash, which starts at 8 am, offers a sightseeing tour of downtown Oxnard. The race begins at Heritage Square, proceeds through the downtown business district and the wide, tree-lined streets of the Henry T. Oxnard National Register Historic District, and finishes at Plaza Park. The course is fast and flat, great for runners wanting to set new best personal times.
Presented in partnership with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training®, proceeds from the race will benefit the Society and their efforts to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The Oxnard Salsa Festival is pleased to partner with Team in Training®; since 1988 they have trained athletes to excel in marathons, half marathons, triathlons and century bike rides to raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services. To date more than 360,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than 850 million dollars.
