Half Price Books

I've been hanging out at Half Price Books since 1984 and have been to every HPB in the DFW area...great atmosphere, amazing deals...you can spend days searching the stacks...
I recently moved to New Hampshire and am going through severe HPB withdrawals.

I've been a fan of Half Price ever since my dad took me to the original location across from the present-day Northwest HWY store in Dallas, TX. HPB is one of the few businesses that I wholeheartedly support because of your committment to literacy, the environment, banned books, and first amendment rights!

I just want to take a minute and congratulate my buddy Tony on all his hard work with his new Ft Wayne store. I know it will kick as much butt as the rest of your stores!!! You rock

A good book is a great friend. I cannot speak well enough of these guys and gals who ensure my fill of books will always be met. Half-Price Books is perhaps the one store I miss the most.

If a store is ever opened in Viginia, I will gladly attend the Grand Opening!

I'm addicted to many things, positive things at that...there could be no better kind of addiction than one that nurtures the soul. And books happens to be one of my addictions. Though I am not a collector and I choose my books wisely and cost efficiently, I am still addicted nonetheless. When HPB came into my life, even waaaaay before I ever worked there. I use to hangout at one in Houston on the Kirkwood religiously. I sat in various sections reading and scamming through books, writing down titles and authors to put down on my "books to buy" list. I love that feeling of indulge in knowledge. I like learning new things and it also helps connect folks.

I adore books... i think this stems for my parents love for them. I love KNowlegde and when you can buy it for half porice or less, then it is awesome. I now live in San Diego, California and the closest store is in san fransisco and I miss it. I have purchased everything from computer software, to dvds. the selection is so awesome. if you think it it is there or they you can call around and find it. It is one of a kind......i use to live down the street from the northwest store right by the corporate offices. that store is so huge.

I can remember as a child my parents taking all 6 kids to half price books in Mesquite Tx and we could spend forever in there. Now I live in Southeast Texas where there are no half price book stores and I sorly miss the chain. I'd drive to Houston, a hour and half drive, but their on the oppisite side of the city than I am.... grrrr Y'all need one here in my backyard would be best ;)
