The MS Longest Day of Golf: WHAT IS THE MS LONGEST DAY OF GOLF?
     The MS Longest Day of Golf (LDG) has risen close to $3 million in Michigan over the years to fight MS and nearly $180,000 in 2008. LDG runs throughout the month of May and now, new this year, we have added the option to participate during the month of September

 

Fundraising: WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
    Over 18,000 people in Michigan have MS and are serviced by the National MS Society, Michigan Chapter. This is the largest diagnosis rate per census of any chapter in the nation. The money raised from the MS Longest Day of Golf goes to the Michigan Chapter to provide local programs and services for those living with MS in Michigan and to fund research on a national level.

 

Golfers
Who Golfs?: Over 600 golfers statewide participated in 2008 with friends, family and corporate teams.  We are growing fast!
 

Host Courses
Why Host?: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HOST COURSE?
     As a host course, you pick the total number of foursomes you will allow to golf over the entire month and on what days. Golfers play all day for one day at a course of their choice. Courses will waive golfers greens fees and the golfers will in turn raise funds to fight MS.
 

Benefits: WHY BE A HOST COURSE?
      Foursomes that participate on your course raise an average of $1,200 to fight MS – now that’s something to feel good about!

 

How to Participate: JOIN THE MOVEMENT, FORM A TEAM!  Go to the National MS Society, Michigan Chapter website and register today!  Get three of your friends to join you, pick a team name, a course from our list of host courses and you are ready to go!  There is a minimum fundraising goal of $150 per golfer per day of golf, but you'll be able to golf as many rounds as you can in one day.  Last year one of our teams golfed 101 holes in a single day!  See you on links!
