On May 16, at the 15th annual Taste of Tribeca, Leah Cohen, executive chef of Centro Vinoteca and Gusto, and Kurt Gutenbrunner, chef/owner of Wallsé, Café Sabarsky and Blaue Gans, competed against one another in the first-ever American Lamb Cook-Off.

Their dishes were judged by Gail Simmons, of Food & Wine magazine and Bravo’s “Top Chef”; Josh Ozersky, restaurant editor for Citysearch; and Lauren Glassberg, reporter for “Neighborhood Eats” on WABC-TV, while Drew Nieporent, James Beard Award-Winning Restauranteur, hosted the challenge.

Showcasing American lamb sirloin, the challengers prepared exquisite dishes, but there could only be one winner. Check out the video to find out who walked away victorious...by only 1 point!
